Filtering the Air We Breathe
The most
important step in air filter improvement is to make sure that all the
air that goes through the central heating and air conditioning air
handler or furnace is filtered. If your HVAC system is pulling
air through holes and cracks in the ducts system or return air chase,
then it will pull in contaminates along with it. This air can be pulled
in from attics, crawlspaces and garages and will contribute to indoor
air quality problems.
It is
important to have your duct system checked to ensure all return air is
pulled through the filtering system. This is a good time for your
service technician to verify that the filter system in your central HVAC
system is properly installed, and sized large enough for the efficient
operation of your system.
